Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

Instructions

  1. Drain the fruits. Drain the mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, and maraschino cherries thoroughly to remove excess liquid.
  2. Make the creamy mixture. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and whipped topping. Fold gently until smooth and fully blended.
  3. Add fruit to mixture. Add the drained mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, and cherries to the creamy mixture. Stir carefully to avoid breaking the fruit.
  4. Fold in remaining ingredients. Fold in the shredded coconut and mini marshmallows until evenly distributed.
  5. Refrigerate. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the marshmallows to soften.
  6. Serve. Stir gently before serving and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure all fruit is well drained to prevent a watery salad.
  • For best flavor, chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
  • Add sliced bananas just before serving to prevent browning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
