Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 30 green or red grapes (washed and thoroughly dried)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • White gel food coloring
  • Pink gel food coloring
  • Blue gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Insert toothpicks or small skewers into each grape and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and corn syrup.
  3. Stir gently just to mix, then heat over medium-high heat without stirring further.
  4. Let the mixture boil for 10–15 minutes, or until it reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
  5. Once the syrup reaches 300°F, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  6. Immediately add white gel food coloring and stir it in completely.
  7. Carefully add small dots of pink and blue gel food coloring on the surface of the syrup.
  8. Using a skewer or toothpick, gently swirl the colors through the syrup just a little — do not fully mix.
  9. Dip each grape into the marbled candy syrup, turning gently to coat it.
  10. Let the excess drip off and place the grape on a parchment-lined tray to cool and harden.
  11. Allow the candy coating to harden completely (about 10–15 minutes) before serving.
  12. Storing:
  13. Place the grapes in an airtight container.
  14. Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking together.
  15. Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • Allow the candy coating to harden completely (about 10–15 minutes) before serving.
