Lobster Tails
- 4 lobster tails (6–8 oz each)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (divided)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For Serving
- Prepare Lobster Tails: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, stopping before the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat up and over the shell, keeping it attached at the base. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter completely. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, half of the chopped parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Reserve half of this garlic butter sauce for dipping.
- Brush Lobster with Sauce: Generously brush the exposed lobster meat with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring every surface is coated. Season lightly with additional salt and pepper. This step will help the lobster achieve a beautiful golden color and keep the meat moist during cooking.
- Bake Lobster Tails: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). For extra color, broil for the last 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from oven and immediately brush with additional garlic butter if desired. Sprinkle with the remaining fresh parsley and serve with the reserved warm garlic butter sauce for dipping and lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy while hot!
Notes
- Carefully monitor lobsters during broiling to prevent burning.
- Use fresh lemon juice and parsley for best flavor and freshness.
- Internal temperature of 145°F ensures lobster is cooked safely but remains tender.
- Leftover garlic butter sauce can be used to drizzle on other seafood or vegetables.
