Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked beets, mashed or finely grated
  • 1 cup gluten-free oat flour (or almond flour)
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine mashed beets, oat flour, flaxseed, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form dough: Stir until a thick, pliable dough forms. If too wet, add a bit more flour; if too dry, add a splash of water.
  4. Roll dough: Roll the dough between two pieces of parchment paper to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  5. Cut shapes: Remove the top sheet and cut the dough into triangles or desired cracker shapes.
  6. Bake crackers: Transfer the parchment with crackers onto the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until crisp and firm to the touch.
  7. Cool crackers: Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Let cool completely before storing to maintain crispness.
