Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)

Add-ons (Optional)

  • 1/2 cup dried fruit or chocolate chips (add chocolate chips only after baking to avoid melting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped almonds, shredded coconut, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir to mix evenly.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in honey or maple syrup and melted coconut oil. Stir thoroughly until the oat mixture is well coated and combined.
  4. Press Mixture: Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and press firmly into a flat, compact layer to encourage cluster formation during baking.
  5. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until the mixture turns golden brown. Avoid stirring to keep clusters intact.
  6. Cool and Break: Allow the granola to cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking it into clusters.
  7. Store: Store the granola clusters in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Optionally, freeze in zip-top bags for up to 2 months.

Notes

  • Pressing the mixture firmly is key to achieving large, crunchy clusters.
  • Add chocolate chips only after baking to prevent them from melting in the oven.
  • Freeze granola clusters in zip-top bags for longer storage, up to 2 months.
