Ingredients

Scale

For the Drink

  • 1 cup honeydew melon, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup brewed green tea, cooled
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons sugar

For the Boba

  • 1/4 cup boba pearls
  • Water, for boiling boba
  • Optional: simple syrup, to sweeten boba

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Boba: Boil water in a pot and cook the boba pearls according to package instructions until they become soft and chewy. Once cooked, drain and rinse them under cold water. Optionally, soak or mix them in simple syrup to add extra sweetness. Spoon the prepared boba into serving cups.
  2. Brew the Green Tea: Brew fresh green tea using your preferred method and allow it to cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare the Honeydew: Peel and cube the honeydew melon, selecting the juiciest pieces closest to the center for optimal sweetness and flavor.
  4. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the chopped honeydew, brewed green tea, milk, and sugar. Blend on high until the mixture becomes smooth and fully combined.
  5. Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended milk tea through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp or clumps, ensuring a smooth beverage.
  6. Assemble and Serve: Pour the strained milk tea over the prepared boba pearls in the serving cups. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing honeydew milk tea!

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute milk with almond milk, oat milk, or any plant-based milk alternative.
  • Adjust sugar quantity based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Chill the brewed tea before blending for a colder serving without needing ice, which can dilute flavors.
  • If you prefer a thicker texture, add ice cubes to the blender before blending.
  • Store any leftover milk tea in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours for best taste.
