Fruit & Liquids

  • 16 oz. Frozen mango
  • 12 oz. Mango nectar
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 1 Cup Ice

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 3 tbsp Chamoy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Tajín seasoning

Garnish

  • Tamarind candy sticks (tamarind straws)
  • Mango slices (optional)
  • Lime slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine the frozen mango, mango nectar, ice, lime juice, and granulated sugar in a blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, creating a refreshing mango sorbet base.
  2. Prepare Glass Rims: Dip the rims of your serving glasses into chamoy sauce, then immediately coat them evenly with Tajín seasoning. This adds a tangy and spicy flavor to each sip.
  3. Decorate Glasses: Drizzle chamoy sauce inside the glass, swirling it along the walls to add a decorative and flavorful touch to the drink.
  4. Serve: Pour the blended mango sorbet into the prepared glasses. Insert a tamarind candy stick for an extra burst of sweet and tangy taste. Garnish with slices of mango or lime if desired for a fresh presentation.
  5. Enjoy Immediately: Serve your Mangonada chilled and fresh for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use ripe mangoes for the best flavor if freezing fresh mango at home.
  • Tajín seasoning can be found in most Latin grocery stores or online.
  • Adjust sugar quantity depending on the sweetness of your mango nectar and personal preference.
  • The tamarind candy stick adds both garnish and an additional flavor dimension; omit if unavailable.
  • For a smoother texture, blend longer or add a little more mango nectar or lime juice.
