Ingredients
- 1/2 pound chorizo sausage (cooked and crumbled)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa (or picante sauce)
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 4 oz can chopped mild green chilies (well-drained)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (freshly shredded)
- 1/4 cup green onions (diced)
- 8 flour tortillas (burrito-sized)
- Mix cream cheese and sour cream: Beat together cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add salsa, lime juice, and taco seasoning, then blend to combine.
- Add remaining ingredients: Stir in cheese, green onions, green chiles, and cooked sausage. Mix well.
- Assemble tortillas: On each tortilla, spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture, leaving a 1/4-inch border on one side. Starting on the opposite end, tightly roll up the tortilla with the filling inside.
- Cut into pinwheels: Turn the roll-up where the seam is face-down and slice into pinwheels that are 1/2-inch thick.
- Chill before serving: Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Refrigerating the pinwheels before serving helps them hold their shape and enhances the flavors.
