  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) (Ensure they are Halal-compliant.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt for topping (Sprinkle on top after baking.)

Instructions

  1. Preparation Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Cheese In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter and cream cheese until fluffy and smooth.
  3. Add Sugars Gradually add the granulated and brown sugars to the creamed mixture and mix until well incorporated.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in Caramel and Chocolate Chips Gently fold in the caramel sauce and optional chocolate chips.
  7. Shape Cookies Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Add Sea Salt Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of sea salt immediately after taking them out of the oven.
