  • 2 cans cans of tuna, drained (preferably white)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery (optional) (Adds crunch and flavor)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of bread (your preferred type)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella) (For melting on top)
  • Butter (For spreading on bread)

Instructions

  1. Preparation Start by prepping your ingredients. Drain the tuna thoroughly and place it in a medium bowl.
  2. Combine Tuna Mixture Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped celery, and chopped onion to the tuna. Season with salt and pepper, and mix until well combined.
  3. Cooking Heat a skillet over medium heat. While it’s warming up, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Assemble Sandwiches Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  5. Add Tuna Scoop half of the tuna mixture onto each slice of bread in the skillet.
  6. Add Cheese Top each sandwich with shredded cheese.
  7. Top Bread Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  8. Grill Sandwiches Grill for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwiches and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve hot.

Notes
