These Jam Puff Pastry Rolls are delightful, flaky treats filled with sweet seedless preserves, perfect for an easy and impressive dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 box (17.3-ounce) puff pastry ((2 sheets))
  • 1/2 cup seedless preserves ((I use raspberry))
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • flour (for the work surface & rolling pin)

Instructions

  1. Allow puff pastry to thaw on the counter per package instructions.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  3. Lightly dust a clean work surface and rolling pin with flour.
  4. Unfold one of the puff pastries to make it a square and lay on top of the floured surface.
  5. Heat the jam up in the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds just to loosen. With a pastry brush, coat one piece of the pastry with the jam, leaving about a 1/4-inch border bare.
  6. Unfold the second sheet of puff pastry and place on top of the jam; very gently roll them together with the rolling pin (not too hard or the jam will squish out!)
  7. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut 9 even strips of the dough.
  8. Pinch the ends of each strip tightly and twist. Then swirl it into a round pastry. Pinch and gently press the end of the roll to seal.
  9. Transfer to the lined baking sheets, leaving space in between.
  10. Chill tray for 15 minutes, while you preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  11. Bake for about 18 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Lightly dusting the work surface and rolling pin prevents sticking.
  • Chilling the tray before baking helps the pastries hold their shape.
  • Be gentle when rolling the puff pastry with jam to avoid squeezing out the filling.
