Sandwich
- 1 large ciabatta roll or ciabatta sandwich bun
- 4 slices provolone, mozzarella, or white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce, optional
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, optional
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds or everything seasoning, optional for topping
Steak and Vegetables
- 10 oz thinly sliced ribeye, sirloin, or shaved steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Toast the Ciabatta Slice the ciabatta roll in half.
- Toast it in a skillet, oven, or toaster until the edges are crisp and the inside is lightly golden.
- Sauté the Vegetables Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add red onion and bell peppers.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened, glossy, and lightly caramelized.
- Add Garlic and Seasoning Stir in garlic, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook the Steak Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet.
- Add the thinly sliced steak.
- Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until browned and tender.
- Add the Sauces Pour in Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.
- Toss the steak and vegetables together until juicy and coated.
